National Library Week !

Clipart libraryIt’s National Library Week in Napa County!  The Board of Supervisors presented a proclamation this morning to the Napa County Library Commission and Library Director Danis Kreimeier, to call attention to the positive contributions of public libraries, librarians, and all library workers for “enriching the lives of California residents.”  As a former professional librarian, this is near and dear to my heart; even before I was a librarian, I loved the library and grew up spending many hours at the Goodman Library (when it was the Napa children’s library) and the former county library on Polk Street (where the Blue Oak School is today).

Libraries are places of learning, connecting, and recreation, and a vital resource to Napa County residents.  Our libraries maintain materials dealing with everything from our agricultural history to opportunities for social media connection!  Visit your local library in person or on the Internet!  Napa County Library website: http://www.countyofnapa.org/library/.  St. Helena Public Library website: http://www.shpl.org/.   Enjoy!
