April 9, 2013 at the Board of Supervisors’ meeting …

Two highlights from our second April meeting.  We:

  • proclaimed April 2013 as Child Abuse Prevention Awareness Month in Napa County, with a presentation to Joelle Gallagher, Program manager of the Napa County Child Abuse Prevention Council (CAPC).  This is a state-mandated council that works as a local umbrella for the coordination of those agencies and community members that are working in the field of child abuse prevention and service.  Cope Family Center has served Napa County for more than 30 years and is the lead agency for CAPC of Napa County.
  • received the Annual Crop Report for 2012 from Agricultural Commissioner Dave Whitmer.  This was the largest crop ever for many growers.  Prices were good, too!  It put a pinch on barrel space and cooperage resources.  Please read the report!  I think you will enjoy it.
